At a Court called to day Tom a Negroe Slave ^for Sundry Crimes^ the property of Edmund Booker according to Act of Assembly the 30th. of Jany. 1775
Present Thos. Lowe, Hezikiah Hough, A[llen] Jones} [Mag]istrates
So[lo] Pace, Wm. Kinchen, James Vaughn, W[m S]ikes} Freeholders
Ev. [illegible] Snipes Matt. Exum Who b[e]ing Sworn do [say] the said Slave is guilty of homebreaking & stealing sundry Articles ^and Adjudge him to suffer Death^ The Court thereupon proceeded to value the said Slave & do say he is of the value of seventy pounds thirteen shill[i]ngs proc. Orde[red the] Sheriff hang the sa[id slave ti]ll dead ^the 31st of [this mo]nth bet[ween] the hours of twelve & four of the Clock
