Biographical Description

Robert Southerland Taylor was born in Mount Olive, North Carolina, on January 8, 1876. Taylor was a farmer, newspaper publisher, and printer who served as president of the North Carolina Association of the Deaf and as a member of the board of directors for the state school for the deaf and blind. He died in Warsaw (Duplin County) on July 29, 1923.
